Crete paperwork

Documentation Required: Duration of stay in Crete is 8 days prior to your wedding and 1 day after to allow the Town Halls a chance to sign your Marriage Certificate.
Passport copy of both Bride and Groom's, certified by Solicitor *full 10 year passport valid for 6 months.
Full Birth Certificates of Bride and Groom *all birth certificates must be the full version and printed not hand written.
Certificate of No Impediment To Marriage for the Bride and Groom * This document confirms that you are free to marry and can be issued in your local Registrars office and must be issued within 3 months prior to your wedding date.
Decree Absolute / Divorce certificate if required
Deep Poll Certificate *If any party has changed names
Adoption Certificates if any parties was adopted.
Death Certificate * If any parties is a widower, a death certificate is required.
Apostille Stamps *This stamp refers the legalization and validity of your documents in international use. (1961 Hague Convention Abolishing the Requirement of Legalization for Foreign Public Documents).
Apostille Stamp is necessary to provide for Birth Certificates and Certificates of no Impediment to marry.
All of the above documents must also be translated and certified in Greek Embassy/ Consulate. Our staff in the resort can take care of all translations for you and you will have the reassurance that everything will be in order for your Big Day.
